Every drive is at 100% and shows no red flags. Followed by 'dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth' I actually already had checked with CrystalDisk. Also, I would check for any corruption in Windows by opening an elevated command prompt and running 'sfc /scannow' to check for any errors. I'd check your drives with CrystalDiskInfo or similar drive monitoring software. Originally posted by Othoric:This sounds like could be a drive issue. I can run them right now without an issue. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020? Cyberpunk 2077? Those two games, in example, runs flawlessly on my machine, and they're 10x more demanding than FFXIV.

My drivers are all up to date, I literally updated them earlier today to find it still happening.Ī super important note. I have reduced graphical settings and FPS caps to no avail. I noticed a mention in another post about AMD Freesync being buggy with FFXIV, so I have it disabled in per-application settings for FFXIV. Here's some things I have already done, and I'll edit this as I'm responded to. I don't see any other events surrounding it that could cause my PC to freeze up catastrophically.

This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.Įvent 41 is a very generic code for shutting down incorrectly. The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Upon restarting, going straight to my event viewer, I do see a Critical event listed. So, as to the issue, if I'm playing FFXIV for anywhere between a half hour to 2-3 hours, at most, my PC entirely freezes. 650w.ġ6GB 2x8 of ddr3 G.Skill RAM that is in perfect condition, in use for less than a year. Note however, I DO have Turbo mode activated on it (4.2 ghz.)Īdding this in since it's adamant that the power supply could have to do with it, which I heavily doubt because I have used it for only about two years. It is not overclocked, but I have given it headroom a very long time ago. Very low end CPU because of the way its cores are set up, but has a decent clock speed. This card is basically overclocked at stock within the circuitry itself.) AMD Freesync capable alongside my monitor- so yes, I play with Freesync.Ĥ cores, 2 physical, 4 logical/threads. I have seen this issue elsewhere, but they're all old posts and nobody has a working solution for any of them to their original poster's anyways, and they don't work for me either. That being said, I will provide as much detail as possible. I'll say up front, I'm extremely savvy and technical with PC's.
